Juliana Long, LPC is an individual and group therapist at Onyx. She specializes in Complex Trauma, Generational Trauma Patterns, Attachment, Depression, Self-Exploration (growths, strengths, etc), Boundaries and Communication/Relationships. Juliana uses these approaches in her therapy with clients: Gestalt, Psychodrama, Existentialism, Person-Centered, CBT, SFBT and DBT. Juliana will be trained in Brain Spotting at the end of November, 2024.
Juliana uses her approaches to help clients process through whatever difficulties they have in their lives. Her goal for therapy is for clients to process on a deeper level, allowing for long lasting and sustained change. She strives to help clients process the deeper root of their problems, and change patterns to align with their current goals.
“I believe people have the ability to recover, stabilize, and mold themselves into who they want to become. You can still steer in the direction you want to go and change destructive patterns. This can occur during any stage of life, it is never ‘too late’ and you are not ‘too damaged.’
Our time together is collaborative in nature, because no one knows your story better than you. I understand receiving feedback may be difficult, so it’s important, as your Therapist, to check in throughout our work together. It is imperative that you are receiving the outcome you sought, whatever that may be. I adjust my counseling style as appropriate for each individual, which can range from directive to non-directive. The space to explore which style is best for you, is one of openness, non-judgment, and utmost privacy.”
